Denny’s Is Selling a Breakfast Sandwich Made With Bright Blue Bread for Halloween
There are a bunch of chain restaurants offering deals for Halloween, but Denny's is offering something that might be the most creative yet. In honor of the holiday and the blue moon taking place on October 31, Denny's is turning their popular Moons Over My Hammy breakfast sandwich blue.
The Halloween blue moon will be the first blue moon on the day across all time zones since 1944, so it really is a momentous occasion that deserves to be celebrated. Denny's Moons Over My Hammy sandwich features ham, scrambled egg, Swiss cheese, and American cheese. The special edition version is all packed between two pieces of specialty bright blue sourdough bread.

Inspiration for the Denny's dish came from the 1935 song "Moon Over Miami" and ever since being introduced to menus in the '90s, it has been a best-selling dish. The blue version of the sandwich will be super exclusive and will only be offered on October 31 at 20 restaurants in the Miami-Dade area. These restaurants were chosen as an ode the the 1935 song.
If you happen to be in the Miami-Dade area, you should know that the blue Moons Over My Hammy breakfast is only available for dine-in orders and while supplies last so once they're gone, they're gone for good. As the saying goes, this colorful breakfast will only come around once in a blue moon—quite literally—so be sure to act fast if you're in the area.
