  • Demi Lovato recently turned 32, and she celebrated with an epic photo dump on Instagram.

  • In one of the pics, the star shared a rare peek of her strong abs in a crop top while taking a mirror selfie.

  • While Demi hasn't shared much about her current wellness or workout routines, back in 2017, she was all about jiu-jitsu.

Happy Birthday, Demi Lovato! Thirty-two certainly is looking good on you. The star dropped a new Instagram post the day before celebrating her 32nd birthday last week, giving her followers a peek into her life lately. The shots included a couple mirror selfies, pics of her dog, some epic pool time and yummy food. Truly living the life!

In one pic, the "Cool For The Summer" singer shared a mirror selfie of herself kissing her boyfriend, musician Jutes, while wearing a black crop top that showed off her super strong abs.

"When you have to pee with a jumpsuit on," she captioned the photos. Of course, Demi's famous followers and friends were totally loving her post and sending her lots of birthday well-wishes. Actress Selma Blair wrote, "Great shot. Yeah. Jumpsuit arms in toilet is my specialty," while Paris Hilton commented, "Happy birthday sis, I love you so much😍." And her BF Jutes added, "i love u 😘😘😘😘."

This strong post might have you wondering about Demi's current health and wellness routines. And if so, you're not alone! Women's Health has done some digging. The first thing to know is that it's been a long time since Demi has shared specific dietary or workout information, but she's dropped a few hints here and there on social media.

For example, this summer, it looks like Demi has been staying active with lots of swimming. This can be a great low-impact workout that works *all* the muscles in your body.

Plus, her concert performances are always super physical, and a cardio feat in and of themselves. (Check out that STANCE!)

Previously, to work on her strength outside of the pool and stage, she used to turn to jiu-jitsu. Demi previously told SELF, “I first got into jiu-jitsu because I loved watching people grapple,” she said. “I think it’s really cool to learn something that helps you with self-defense.”

In fact, Demi has done a lot of jiu-jitsu workouts with trainer Chris Light, who she has been training with since 2018. He shared on Instagram back in February that Demi earned her purple belt.

If you've ever been to one of Demi's concerts, you know how powerful she is on the stage. And she's translated that confidence to her personal life, as well. The actress and singer has bravely spoken up about her mental health struggles (including bipolar disorder), addiction issues, and a previous struggle with an eating disorder.

“It’s a passion of mine—mental health advocacy—and I’ve decided to partner up with Be Vocal because it’s something that’s really powerful when it comes to not only informing people about what mental illness is, but also what you can do to get help,” Demi previously told Women’s Health. Demi is spreading the message to other women that, “it’s possible to live well, feel well, and also find happiness with bipolar disorder or any other mental illness they’re struggling with.”

Keep preaching, Demi!
