Demi Lovato Is Fully Supportive of Ex-Boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama and His Recent Engagement
Demi Lovato has no hard feelings towards her ex, Wilmer Valderrama, and his recent engagement.
Demi supports Wilmer, and just wants him to be happy right now.
Demi Lovato is absolutely thriving right now, but let's be real—you already knew that. Demi's gearing up for the release of her upcoming album after having a phenomenal start to the year, wowing everyone with her stunning performance of "Anyone" at the Grammys and killing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. She has zero time to be stressed about things like her past relationships rn, 'mmkay? Which is why Demi feels nothing but happiness towards her ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, and his recent engagement.
Demi and Wilmer dated from 2010 to 2016, which in Hollywood is a hella long time. Sadly, though, their relationship ended not because they fell out of love, but because Demi had her share of growing to do as a person and needed to do it alone.
“There are issues that I haven’t conquered yet that I know I won’t conquer if I’m relying on somebody else to take care of the loneliness." she said in her Simply Complicated documentary. "That was one of the reasons why we broke up because I’ve never been alone. It had nothing to do with falling out of love, we decided together we just probably are better as friends.“
Demi's single right now, but Wilmer recently popped the question to his girlfriend-turned-fiancée, model Amanda Pacheco (after less than a year of dating, might I add). There's no bad blood between Demi and Wilmer at all—in fact, Demi's making a point to support Wilmer as he enters this new stage of his life.

“She is still in touch with Wilmer, but obviously not in a romantic relationship way,” according to an Us Weekly source. “There is still love there for sure, but Demi fully supports him and his engagement to Amanda. She just wants what’s best for him and for the both of them to be happy.” No drama to see here, y'all!
Demi's actually been supportive of Wilmer's relationship with Amanda since he started dating her, and has continued to remain friends with him the whole time. Imagine being this mature??? “Demi knows about [Amanda] and is being equally as supportive as Wilmer has been of her recent relationships,” a separate Us Weekly source revealed in May 2019. “[They] have continued their friendship as well as Wilmer’s relationship with Demi’s family.”
Guess this means she'll be invited to Wilmer and Amanda's wedding! Fingers crossed she sings a song from her upcoming album?
