Demi Lovato Already Won Halloween With Her Marie Antoinette Hair and Makeup

It's the weekend before Halloween, so you know what that means: It's basically Halloween. Or as Demi Lovato put it on Instagram, "Halloween Round 1." The singer shared what will apparently be the first of several Halloween costumes she'll be wearing to celebrate the holiday, but it's hard to imagine outdoing the stunning look she posted on Friday.

"I told y’all I don’t play on Halloween!! It’s my time to shine 😝✨ glam team killed it 🙌🏼👏🏼," Lovato wrote in the caption accompanying two selfies — one a front-facing close-up and the other a mirror shot — revealing her take on Marie Antoinette with the help of hairstylist Paul Norton and makeup artist Etienne Ortega. She's wearing an exaggeratedly voluminous, gravity-defying wig with tendrils that read more 1790s than 1990s, and its pale blonde shade nearly matches her dramatically powdered skin.

The details of the makeup are so gorgeous, it would be understandable if Lovato — or anyone — would want to wear a version of it in a non-Halloween setting. Her eyes are surrounded by deep, almost-teal blue eye shadow blended up toward her brows, which have been whitened like her skin. In addition to her waterline coated in bright white liner, Ortega added a wing has in the same shade. The look is made even more dramatic with spiky lash and three pearls glued around each eye.

Speaking of pearls, Lovato's lips bear a pearlescent rosy color, and they've been drawn into a pout shape. Her cheeks are brightened up with a similar shade of pink blush to stand out from the white powder, which has been applied all the way down her décolletage.

The comments on the post are, of course, raving about the incredible costume, which includes a mini-dress version of the Georgian style gown of Antoinette's time. "Come thruuuuuu," Ashley Graham wrote, while Paris Hilton declared Lovato, "Queen of Halloween 😍👑."

Even Lovato's aesthetician, Renée Rouleau, commented, "wow!!!!! this is everything!!! See you Sat!!!" — though whether Saturday involves dressing up in different costumes or Rouleau giving Lovato a facial to ensure all that powder doesn't clog her pores remains to be seen.
