Deion Sanders impact: Colorado football expecting big crowd and ESPN broadcast for spring game

Folsom Field is sold out for a spring game for the first time in Colorado football history.

The "Coach Prime" impact on national attention is in full swing in Boulder.

The Colorado football spring game, the first with Deion Sanders as head coach of the Buffaloes, will be broadcast on ESPN, and more than 35,000 tickets have already been sold.

ESPN announced Monday that CU's spring game on April 22 (1 p.m.) will be broadcast live on the main ESPN channel as part of its spring football coverage. It's the only spring game airing on ESPN (national champion Georgia's will be on ESPN2).

The school also announced Monday that more than 35,000 tickets have been sold, with more expected to be purchased for the spring game. CU says the tickets out so far mean it will be the most attended spring game in program history. Folsom Field has a capacity of 50,183.
