Calling all I Love Lucy fans! The Will & Grace cast is filming a special episode to honor the popular 1950s sitcom. The upcoming episode will air in the spring as part of Will & Grace’s eleventh and final season after initially airing its first episode on NBC in 1998.

In case you missed Debra Messing’s iconic Instagram, the Will & Grace star will play Lucy Ricardo in “re-imagined versions of iconic scenes from the original series,” Entertainment Weekly reported, including the beloved “Vitameatavegamin” scene.

But Messing isn’t the only one who gets to honor the famous I Love Lucy character. Sean Hayes, who stars as Jack on Will & Grace, will play Lucy in the famous chocolate factory scene, while Megan Mullally (a.k.a. Karen on Will & Grace) will recreate Lucy’s grape stomping moment.

Of course, there’s no I Love Lucy without Ricky Ricardo, so Eric McCormack (Will) is going to take on his role in the classic scenes, while other cast members will rotate playing Fred and Ethel.

But how does the Will & Grace cast plan to pull off these legendary moments? Don’t worry: The Will & Grace writers made sure the scripts were exactly the same as they were in the original series, so it’ll be a fresh take on the magic that took place nearly 70 years ago.

Oh, and to pull on your heart strings even more? Lucie Arnaz, the daughter of I Love Lucy stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, will make a special appearance as Elvia Allman during the chocolate factory scene of the upcoming episode. It’s the first time ever she’s agreed to play a role that commemorates her parents’ show, so you definitely don’t want to miss her cameo.

“I know my parents would be over the moon to be honored in this way and by such similar talents who bring the same kind of joy to audiences as they did in I Love Lucy,” said Arnaz in a statement, per Entertainment Weekly. “I’m thrilled to be invited to the party and will do my best to honor the memory of Elvia Allman’s iconic performance.”

Arnaz shared some photos of filming to her Instagram, and it looks like the cast had a blast shooting the tribute. “Speed it up a little! Elvia Allman, eat your heart out. ❤️A little behind-the-scenes fun from today’s filming of Will & Grace!,” she captioned a photo of her dressed in character.

As expected, both Will & Grace and I Love Lucy fans are beyond excited for the collab. Comments exploded on the NBC show’s Instagram account, and fans say they are counting down the days until the episode airs. Understandably, others are upset that it’s the final season of the show after a decade on TV.

“I always knew Grace would be a perfect Lucy!!❤️,” one fan wrote, while another commented “This is what we’ve always wanted and you gave it to us!!! Thank you!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾”

We can’t wait to see this! Will & Grace airs Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
