DeAndre Hopkins made a touchdown catch for the ages

The Houston Texans have had a rough season, but receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been a bright spot. And during an awful game on Monday, Hopkins made one of the best catches of this season, or any other season.

It was simply unbelievable. T.J. Yates threw up a jump ball to Hopkins against cornerback Joe Haden. Hopkins jumped, and with his free right hand he tipped the ball to himself, backhanded. Then as he was coming down, Hopkins used his left hand to bring the ball in. And if that wasn’t enough, Hopkins had the clear mind to tap his left foot down as he came down. And he maintained control as he came down.

“That’s sick,” NBC play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico said watching the replay.

“That was unbelievable,” color analyst Kurt Warner said. “That was unbelievable.”

Hopkins has had a ridiculous season, especially considering he has played most of it without a good quarterback. Even when Deshaun Watson got hurt, Hopkins maintained his high level of play. He’s a clear All-Pro pick.

And if anyone needed validation of how great Hopkins has been this season, just watch his touchdown catch. It’s as pretty as you’ll see.
