You probably already know by now that this season of Bachelor in Paradise, which premiered on August 5, will end with not one…not two…but THREE (3) engagements (gasp!) And after that Hannah B. finale, we’re ready for some happy endings in our lives. Thanks to Reality Steve, our savior, we know that one of those couples is Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton. But before you continue, we must warn you: spoilers ahead.
Let’s refresh: Who TF are Chris and Katie?
You may remember Chris Bukowski from Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette, where he was one of the last four men. You also might recognize him from Season 3 of Bachelor Pad (RIP), from his two previous appearances on BiP, OR from his 2015 Bachelor Nation “retirement” announcement (lol how’s that workin out for u, Chris?) The man’s been lookin for love on reality TV for a long time. He even attempted to crash Andi Dorfman’s season when he literally walked into the mansion and was almost immediately sent home. So, yeah, that’s Chris.
Katie has been a little less controversial than her new fiancé. She appeared on Colton Underwood’s season. And she just recently made a guest appearance with Demi Burnett to make sure Hannah B.’s guys all had the right intentions (Also, she’s obviously not a detective, because she missed one.)
Sooo what’s the story? Gimme the deets.
The two allegedly hit it off during BiP and inevitably get engaged during the finale of Season 6. But, as we know, the only thing Chris seems to be able to commit to is Bachelor-related TV specials. So we’ll see what happens.
Okay cool, and who else is supposedly walking down the aisle?
The second couple is Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin. Hannah became America’s Sweetheart on Colton’s season when she came in second. And Dylan was literally just on Hannah B.’s season. Also, he def didn’t get enough screen time so we’re excited to see what he has to offer—besides a Neil Lane engagement ring.
And the third happy couple is Demi Burnett (also from Colton’s season, go figure) and her girlfriend Kristian Haggerty, who is **not** a member of Bachelor Nation, although she has strong connections. Demi and Kristian apparently met when Kristian was living with another Colton season member, Catherine Agro. (Basically, Colton ties together this entire BiP cast in one way or another.) Demi ends up bringing Kristian on to the season and comes out as bisexual, proposing to her girlfriend in the finale. Happy tears.
Also they’re the first same-sex couple in Bachelor franchise history. About damn time.
Should we prepare for a triple heartbreak, or will the couples actually make it down the aisle?
The last time there were three engagements at the end of a BiP season, only one survived. Sad. Season 3 ended with Lace and Grant, Amanda and Josh, and Carly and Evan all engaged, butttt Carly and Evan were the only ones who prevailed. So the odds are probably against them. But, hey, have faith.
And if anything, we’ll get some juicy breakup stories out of it. Which is what we really want anyway.
