Haunted houses, paranormal activity, and true crime mixed with interior design? Hell yeah, Dark House podcast is back, baby. The second season of the audio treat from our friends at House Beautiful began streaming on Wednesday.

In Dark House, House Beautiful editors and co-hosts Alyssa Fiorentino and Hadley Mendelsohn take listeners to "the crossroads of true crime, interior design, and the paranormal." There, they recount tales of beautiful homes that cannot outrun their sordid backstories and "and uncover the strange stories suggesting some inhabitants never left—and that perhaps history isn't the only thing haunting them."

Season One premiered back in October 2021—just in time for Halloween—and profiled The S.K. Pierce House in Gardner, Mass., The Mercer-Williams House in Savannah, Ga., The Harlow/Bern House in Los Angeles, Calif., and The Villisca Axe Murder House in Villisca, Ia.. In every episode, Fiorentino and Mendelsohn unpacked each homes' unique architecture, the surrounding region it finds itself in, and the gossip surrounding the ghosts who do or don't float through its halls.

It's been teased that this season's topics will include a two-part special about the residence where then-pregnant Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, and Steven Parent were brutally murdered by Charles Manson's followers as well as the Rhode Island home that inspired The Conjuring and the Lemp Mansion in St Louis.

New episodes will premiere every other Wednesday. Listen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
