Dancing With the Stars fans think Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten deserved better last night.

The season 29 competitors took the ballroom stage Monday night to perform the Cha Cha to "Say So" by Dojo Cat featuring Nicki Minaj. While the Disney Channel star had a few notable missteps during her routine, she managed to finish on a high note.

Unfortunately though, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli did still penalize her for her footwork mistakes. "There was a messup but it happens to all of us," Derek told the actress. "It's all a part of the highs and lows." When all was said and done, Skai and Alan ended up with an 18 out of 30, the lowest score of the evening.

As the competition progressed, DWTS fans online seemed to get angrier and angrier about Skai's scores. Many didn't understand why they scored Skai so low but when celebrity dancers Kaitlyn Bristowe and Vernon Davis made mistakes and the judges gave them things to work on, their scores were higher — Kaitlyn and Artem Chigvintsev scored a 27 out of 30, while Vernon and Peta Murgatroyd got a 21 out of 30.

"They [the judges] point out multiple mistakes and still give some of them high scores, but when it came to Skai, she got a low score, even though she made a mistake and still did better than most of them?" one fan tweeted. "Vernon makes mistakes and gets 7’s but when skai does it she gets 6’s okay #DWTS," another tweeted. A different fan, meanwhile, announced, "SKAI JACKSON DESERVES BETTER 😩😫😫 the judges being so unfairly harsh on her smh."

In the end, Skai's low score didn't seem to matter — at least, not this week. After host Tyra Banks revealed that Peta and Vernon and Johnny Weir and Britt Stewart were in the bottom two, the majority of judges chose to save Johnny, officially eliminating Vernon and Peta from the competition.
