Dale Earnhardt Jr. Receives a Magical Sign from His Late Mom as He Spreads Her Ashes

An emotional moment for Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his family ended with a beautiful surprise earlier this week.

The retired NASCAR driver and burgeoning house flipper took to Facebook Wednesday night to share that he had gotten together with his late mother’s side of the family for dinner and to spread her ashes “on a beautiful hillside on our property as she had requested.” He said they plan to have monthly dinners together as a way to remain connected.

Earnhardt, 44, went on to recall how something special happened as they were saying their goodbyes at the end of the evening: a giant rainbow appeared above the family’s Mooresville, North Carolina, estate.

Earnhardt’s mom Brenda Jackson died on April 22 after a battle with cancer. She was 65.

“What an amazing ending to a special day,” he wrote alongside a photo of the serendipitous phenomenon.
