Dakota Johnson Has The *Most* Sculpted Legs While Rocking A Mini Dress In NYC

  • Dakota Johnson has some seriously sculpted legs in a mini dress while walking the streets of New York City this week.

  • The actress, 32, has a bunch of new projects coming out, and the trailer for her movie, Persuasion, just came out today, too!

  • Dakota has worked with a plethora of personal trainers, but she also loves to hit up a Pilates class now and again.


If there’s one thing everyone knows about Dakota Johnson, it’s that this girl can throw together an absolutely superb outfit!

The white suit-dress moment on the Fifty Shades of Grey actress was no exception. Dakota stepped out in New York City, where she is in town for the Tribeca Film Festival (her new film Cha Cha Real Smooth which comes to AppleTV+ on Friday). Oh, and did I mention that her film, Persuasion, is also coming out in July? And its trailer dropped today? Dakota is certainly a woman of action.

The mini dress, which is designed by AREA, appears to be an oversized blazer in the front, but when Dakota turned around, onlookers could also see delicate chains draping her strong back. The 32-year-old actress wore her hair in a sleek bun, and paired the look with sky-high silver heels that showed off her incredibly toned legs!

Luke Worthington, a sports scientist, PT, nutritionist, and strength and conditioning specialist who works with Dakota (he also works with Rooney Mara and Winnie Harlow), shared some strength moves with Women’s Health. It included squats, lunges, barbell rows, hip thrusts, overhead presses, and burpees. No wonder Dakota's legs are so strong!

When she's not working out with Luke, Dakota loves hot Pilates classes and has been spotted heading in and out of studio classes, according to Daily Mail. Plus, Dakota has also worked with other celebrity trainers like Gunnar Peterson and Kacy Duke, who told Vogue they focused on the “Triple A” (abs, arms, and a**).

This meant doing a lot of squats with a twisting press to hit different ranges of motion

To prepare for her role in the second and third Fifty Shades movies, Dakota's trainer, Ramona Braganza, helped her work out five days a week. "Although we worked on building out her shoulders, keeping her butt, and toning her abs and arms, the main goal was to get her moving 30 minutes a day," Braganza told Cosmopolitan.

I'm not sure if this routine held for her Jane Austen heroine role, but my guess is she will be showing a lot less skin...

When it comes to fueling her body with good nutrients, Dakota follows the 3-2-1 rule.

“It’s just proportions, when to eat, smaller meals, and more meals,” her trainer Braganza told Healthista. “So things like having three meals a day, two snacks, and a minimum of one liter of water a day.”

Sounds easy enough, and clearly, the results are worth it!
