Dakota Johnson Just Got Grilled by Ellen DeGeneres About a Party, and It Is Beyond Awkward to Watch
Ellen DeGeneres just confronted Dakota Johnson about not receiving an invite to her birthday party.
Dakota swears she invited Ellen, and it leads to a suuuuper awkward conversation.
Okay, so most times when people go on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, they don't get accosted with questions from Ellen about why she wasn't invited to [insert celebrity name here]'s birthday party, but when you're Dakota Johnson, you might not be so lucky.
Case in point: When Dakota sat down to talk with Ellen today, Ellen was pretty much ready to throw hands with Dakota because she was left of off Dakota's 30th birthday party guest list. Dakota's party was on October 4th, which is probably why it was so fresh in Ellen's mind!
But according to Dakota, Ellen's lying abut the lack of invitation. "Actually, no, that's not the truth, Ellen. You were invited," she said. "Last time I was on the show last year, you gave me a bunch of shit about not inviting you, but I didn't even know you wanted to be invited. I didn't even know you liked me!"
Ellen's answer? "Of course I like you," she said. "You knew I liked you! You've been on the show many times and don't I show...like?" I'm pretty darn sure if the producers panned out to the audience, everyone's faces would have been this: 😬😬😬
"But I did invite you, and you didn't come," Dakota insisted. "Ask everybody. Ask Jonathan, your producer?" Once Ellen team confirmed that, yes, she was indeed invited to Dakota's 30th birthday party, the floodgates in Ellen's mind finally began to open up.
"I was invited? Why didn't I go?" Ellen questioned her staff. "Oh yeah, I had a thing. It was probably in Malibu. That's too far for me to go...No, but I really didn't remember that until just now." So basically, Ellen's a massive troll, LOL.
