Daisy Edgar-Jones Goes Blonde, Makes a Case for Lightening Up This Summer

Considering a fresh new dye job ahead of the summer months? Then let Daisy Edgar-Jones be your inspiration. The actor just swapped her signature deep brunette for a flaxen shade, and debuted the new look—in subtle style—at this year’s Met Gala.

Edgar-Jones turned to colorist David Inman to execute the transformation (which, it’s worth noting, is for a new acting role), and her new hair color is the perfect shade of golden blonde, and suits her skin tone to a tee. Inman, who works at George Northwood’s east London salon, has taken her hair several shades lighter, but true to the Northwood ethos, it looks natural, undone, and oh-so effortless.

Wearing it up in a sleek knot, with those enviable French-girl bangs grazing her eyes, Edgar-Jones’s hair was the perfect partner to her embellished Gucci attire. The simple hair trick to glean from her look? Ask your colorist to leave just the right amount of natural root on show to create a lived-in, cool-girl effect. You’re welcome.
