The good people over at Cupcake Vineyards are the minds behind some of your favorite affordable bottles, and now they have a new line of wines perfect for the summer. The LightHearted collection features four wines, all with just 80 calories per serving.

This Cupcake collection has a chardonnay, pinot grigio, rosé, and a pinot noir. Each is flavored with hints of fruit to make them the ideal wine for a hot and sunny summer day. Every bottle is only 80 calories per five-ounce glass (which is less than the average hard seltz) and has an ABV of eight percent.

Cupcake's new chardonnay has notes of pineapple and pear while the pinot grigio has flavors of lemon and apple. The rosé, arguably the most appropriate for the season, has hints of watermelon and grapefruit. If you typically reach for bottles of red, the pinot noir is flavored with wild strawberry and plum, so it's still a light sip.

According to the website, the goal of the LightHearted collection was to "craft the perfect alcoholic beverage–one that’s lower in calories that doesn’t sacrifice on taste." The collection is already rolling out in stores this month with each bottle going for $9.99. In August, you can order the wines online straight to your door if your area's liquor laws allow it.

These are great for a simple drink, or for mixing into any of our sangria recipes for a lighter flavor that you'll be making all summer long. Less whining, more wining. Obviously.
