Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a photo of his baby daughter after revealing the heartbreaking news that her twin brother had passed away.

The footballer, 37, recently announced along with partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28, that they had lost their son during childbirth.

In a new black and white image shared to Instagram, the Manchester United player can be seen cradling his little girl in his arms.

Captioning the post, he wrote: "Forever Love…"

The image has been 'liked' more than 16 million times, with thousands commenting with love heart emojis and messages of support.

It comes after Ronaldo shared a picture of his family to Instagram, revealing that his partner Georgina and their newborn daughter had returned home and were "finally together with us".

He wrote: "Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family.

"Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world."

Last month, Ronaldo announced the tragic loss of his son in an Instagram post, writing that it was the "greatest pain that any parents can feel".

He added: "Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness."

The sportsman also shares daughter Alana, four, with Georgina, who he has been with since 2017.

He is also father to son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, 11, as well as four-year-old twins Mateo and Eva.
