Well, Reese's is finally weighing in on it all, but in the tastiest way possible! Introducing: Reese’s Creamy and Crunchy Peanut Butter Cups! Yep, you read that right! For a limited time only, you can try the chocolate-peanut butter treat in the two different forms! Reese's new Peanut Butter Cups are available in stores now and will be throughout the summer.
Sounds delicious, right?! Plus, this definitely seems like something you can add to a Mother's Day gift basket! (And if you love a tasty chocolate-peanut butter combo, you have to try our peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies and our chocolate peanut butter pie!)
If you're skeptical or think there won't be much of a difference between the options—Reese's has something to say!
Those typically on Team Creamy can rest assured. Reese's claimed in a press release that the Creamy Peanut Butter Cup "has a noticeably smoother texture." For those that are Team Crunchy all the way, the Crunchy Peanut Butter Cup "contains chunks of peanuts for that perfect crunchy bite." Either way, you can still count on both versions to contain the famous chocolate-peanut butter combo! And the fun doesn't stop there!
In an effort to really settle the ongoing battle, Reese's is hosting an online competition between members of Team Creamy and Team Crunchy in America.
Once you get your hands on Reese's Creamy and Crunchy Peanut Butter Cups (and are able to taste them both for yourself), you can head over to Hershey's website and cast your official vote based on your preference. The polls are divided by state, and you can see the numbers fluctuate in real-time to see where you stand in your area!
As of April 27, Team Creamy is sweeping the competition, with the majority of every state voting for that option! But there's still time to cast your vote! The competition will end on May 17, and Reese's will announce the official winner on May 18!
