The Crème Shop x Hello Kitty Celebrate Collection Launches at Ulta
It’s hard to believe that Hello Kitty is turning 45 this year. Since the iconic character was created by Japanese company Sanrio back in 1974, she’s adorned a plethora of products, including school supplies, kitchen gadgets, and sneakers. There’s even an entire town in Japan devoted to the adorable universe inhabited by everyone’s favorite cartoon cat. Now, thanks to a collaboration with Korean skincare brand The Crème Shop, Hello Kitty’s got her very own collection of must-have skincare serums, creams, and masks, and we want it all.
The Crème Shop x Hello Kitty Celebrate Collection, which launched at Ulta on October 25, is an eight-piece line designed to celebrate Hello Kitty’s birthday in style. The pink packaging is adorned with Hello Kitty’s bow-topped visage amidst a smattering of sprinkles (because what’s a birthday without a cake, after all), and each of the cruelty-free items contains the hero ingredients we’ve come to know and love from K-beauty.
The Pink Water Crème, an ultra-dewy moisturizer, is packed with hyaluronic acid and antioxidant-rich watermelon, and the Me Time! Youth-Promoting Sheet Mask gets its power from collagen, cucumber, and white tea extract. As an added bonus, the sheet mask will temporarily transform your face into an homage to Hello Kitty — sure to be a hit when you’re masking in-flight, or just in your own bathroom. There’s even a plush sprinkle-patterned bow headband to keep your hair out of your face while working on your skincare (or just to, you know, casually wear around the house).
While everything is available directly from The Crème Shop’s online storefront, Ulta has gotten in on the action with a handful of products from the range, as well as some additional — and totally giftable — exclusive sets. We’re particularly smitten with the Treat Yo’ Self Spa Set, which comes with a spa headband, a sleep mask, and a bottle of strawberry champagne bath crystals in an ombré sprinkle color palette, naturally.
While The Crème Shop’s line of Hello Kitty and Friends products seem to be on offer all year round, we have a feeling this special birthday collab won’t last long, so smash that “add to cart” button fast. However you choose to partake in Hello Kitty’s birthday celebration, it’s clear that this is one icon who isn’t slowing down any time soon.
