Courteney Cox cuts off her hair in scary Halloween 'Scream' video
Courteney Cox hacked off her fringe in a video for fans in a bid to recreate her Scream look for Halloween.
The Friends star, 55, played ambitious reporter Gale Weathers in the popular horror film franchise, which ran from 1996 to 2011.
To mark Halloween, she posted a video on Instagram saying that she had decided to watch Scream 3 to “get into the spirit of things”.

Commenting on her character’s short, spiky fringe, Cox said: “I noticed that Gale Weathers has those infamous bangs.
“I don't think anything is that wrong with it, check it out. I think they are cool."
The video pans to Cox’s TV, where Gale’s memorable hair-do can be seen.
The actress then whips out a sharp-looking pair scissors and starts chopping off her own hair, telling viewers: “I say I bring it back!”
Once her fringe has been lopped off, Cox asks: "What do you think?"
As she runs her fingers through her hair, someone wearing the Scream mask jumps up from the sofa behind her and she lets out a blood-curdling shriek.

The first Scream film was released in 1996 and starred Neve Campbell as a high school student who becomes the target of a killer in a spooky mask.
Sequels were released in 1997, 2000 and 2011.
Cox starred in all four of the films and was nominated for some prizes for her performance as feisty Gale, including a Saturn Award and a Blockbuster Entertainment Award.
