Couple tries to recreate Pinterest engagement photo and fails miserably

There's Pinterest, and then there's reality. One couple quickly learned this while attempting to get the perfect picture during their engagement photo shoot.

Collin Hewett and Alyssa Snodsmith shared photos on Twitter last week of their failed attempt at copying a photo Snodsmith found on Pinterest. The photo showed a couple smiling as a man poured champagne in his girlfriend's mouth. (Can you see where this is going?)

"So me and Alyssa took our engagements pictures yesterday. She found a Pinterest picture that she wanted to try and recreate... I botched it," Hewett wrote in his tweet.

The couple's hilarious fail quickly went viral and currently has nearly 500,000 likes. "I've been so surprised that the pictures have gone this viral," Hewett told Delish. "The original intent of me posting them was just to show some of our friends and I guess it just took off!"

He also added that during the shoot, while Snodsmith was taken a bit by surprise, she was good sport and the two laughed it off. She chimed in on Twitter writing, "I'm fine btw."

Twitter users were quick to chime in with their own champagne fails from their engagement shoots and graduation days. "#relatable," one woman captioned a photo of her and here significant other in a similar predicament.

But, you know what they say, the couple that laughs together, stays together. It's even been scientifically proven.
