Fruit cups hit the spot now as much as they did when I was younger. They're convenient, available in so many varieties, and their shelf life is way longer than fresh fruit. Now, the classic snack's getting a revamp: Del Monte sells fruit cups that come with popping boba inside for added flavor and texture.

Boxes of Del Monte's bubble fruit cups were spotted by @costcohotfinds at her local Costco, with each box containing 16 separate fruit cups. The flavor is peach strawberry lemonade, with cut up peaches and strawberry lemonade-flavored popping boba. This means with every bite you get the chewy consistency of real peaches paired with the bursting liquid from the boba, making it a great snack for curious kids or adults that want something more than the average fruit cup.
Although the box refers to these bursting pieces as boba, it's not the same as the tapioca pearls you may be familiar with if you drink boba tea on the regular. These pieces are the fruity ones you've likely seen at frozen yogurt joints as a topping and are even included in Disneyland's Infinity Fizz drink.
These fruit cups prove just how versatile popping boba pieces can be and just how creative fruit cups can get, and they're a great way to introduce something new to your kids instead of buying them the same old snacks again and again. Boxes of Del Monte's bubble fruit can be found at Costco for under $8, so be sure to check the snack aisle during your next Costco run.
