Costco Is Selling Giant Tubs of Pillsbury Cookie Dough That Weigh Almost 5 Pounds
When you’re in a baking-pinch and don’t have time to whip up a batch of your family-famous homemade chocolate chip cookies, Costco has you covered. The big-box store known for their amazing deals on bulk items continues to impress, this time by selling a 76-ounce tub of ready-to-bake Pillsbury cookie dough.
You can pick up one of these sweet tubs for a mere $7.89 and with it, you’ll be able to make a little more than six dozen cookies. Now, if that sounds like chocolate chip cookie overload, don’t worry. You can freeze the dough for up to two months, assuming you've got the freezer space (if you don't, Costco sells freezers, too!). The convenience of always having cookie dough ready and available for any baking need can come in handy when you need a quick sugar fix, or a dessert to take to a gathering.
And of course, with the holidays swiftly approaching, it’s prime time for all things baking. While we know most like to go the homemade route, sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day to make cookies from scratch. Or maybe you’re someone who doesn’t mind admitting their cookies are store-bought, either way, these 76-ounces can be a big help this time of year.

Another time-saving idea to use this tub is to take a cue from the meal prep trend. Pre-portion balls of cookie dough in advance using your handy cookie scoop and freezer containers or freezer baggies. Then it's even faster to grab a dozen or so to place and bake when the need arises.
Pillsbury isn’t the only brand spotted with giant tubs of chocolate chip cookie dough, Nestlé Tollhouse also has their own five-pound tub of cookie dough for baking, and if you’re someone who often eats the dough before it goes into the oven, you can even get safe-to-eat, edible cookie dough from Nestlé.

Whatever the use, we can't argue that stocking our freezer with almost five pounds of chocolate chip cookie dough simply sounds like a great idea.
