Cornerback who started 25 games in four seasons at Kentucky announces he is transferring to Wisconsin

MADISON -- Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst and his staff remain active in the burgeoning transfer market.

Cornerback Cedrick Dort Jr., who started 25 games and played in 44 in four seasons at Kentucky, announced Monday he is transferring to UW.

Dort, 5-foot-11 and 182 pounds, has one season of eligibility remaining.

He started 12 of 13 games in 2021 and helped the Wildcats to a 5-3 record in the SEC and a 10-3 overall mark.

Dort, from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, signed with Kentucky in 2017. He had offers from UW, Minnesota, Purdue, Rutgers, Cincinnati, Syracuse and several other schools.
