Meghan Markle‘s maternity style is very good, or should we say, berry good?
The Duchess of Sussex stepped out on Monday sporting a bright ensemble, layering a strawberry-colored coat atop a violet dress that accentuated her blossoming belly. The combination of berry hues was a flattering departure from her usual cool classics in black, navy and taupe.
Markle made a stunning return to rich shades in a sequined midnight-blue gown when she and Prince Harry attended the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem show on Wednesday. But the mama-to-be continued the berry theme by painting her pucker with a glossy raspberry lip color.
While we’re used to seeing Markle wear what’s arguably the perfect shade of nude on her lips, this dark lipstick was a flawless pairing with her slicked-back hair and bronzed cheeks.
In an interview with Elle, royal etiquette expert Myka Meier predicted Markle would eventually experiment with more statement-making makeup, noting “She’s totally fine to wear whatever makeup she feels is appropriate for the occasion.” And we think the pregnant royal made the right choice.
