Either you have the Ottolenghi canon already and “get it,” or your time has not yet arrived. So what a treat this will be for that person!! Think: someone who loves vegetables, Middle Eastern flavors, and yogurt sauces. Maybe this person likes to throw dinner parties, or has a tendency to one-up everyone when there’s a potluck. This nicely designed box set has two Ottolenghi classics in paperback, the vegetarian masterpiece Plenty More and the minimalist, weeknight-friendly but still very Ottolenghi, Ottolenghi Simple. Lamb and Pistachio Patties with Sumac Yogurt Sauce—who doesn’t want that? Vegetarians, maybe, but then they can have Roasted Whole Cauliflower with Green Tahini Sauce instead. Both are excellent. Gift this book with a basket of sumac, pomegranate molasses, and Soom tahini if you’re a really good friend.

I am sorry but when a 35-years old deliberately looks for a job that earns him less than $1.2k/month in order to continue to get SS disability benefits, then something is wrong.
