Converse & Kasina Team Up on Sneaker Collaboration
This month, Converse and Kasina reunite to introduce a take on an iconic sneaker. The Converse x Kasina Weapon OG is a limited-edition rework of the classic 1980s silhouette. To present a take on the Weapon, Kasina was inspired by the "do it yourself" design and construction of their first store location designed by founder EunHyk Lee Lee in Busan, South Korea, in 1997.
Crafted in a leather vintage white upper, the Converse x Kasina Weapon is subtle in its update but allows the silhouette to shine in its detail. Custom branded KASINA graphics are printed on the are printed on Y-bar, while the heel touts an embossed Kasina logo in Korean, which sits atop an Egret cupsole.
Pops of color are featured through the underlays, Star Chevron logos in Carbon, Online Lime, and Stormy Weapon colorways, and the collection comes equipped with laces in two colorways – Online Lime and Egret.

Over the years, the two brands have explored a range of classic Converse icons, including the Chuck 70 and One Star, presenting takes through the lens of sport and utility while staying true to the heart and soul of Kasina.
The Converse Weapon was first introduced on the basketball court in 1986, and it forged a connection to teams, games, and individuals who love the culture. A community formed that embraced the Weapon, even though the silhouette was only available for two years.
Converse has long been rooted in communities—across basketball, sport, music, and art. So, for the Weapon, Converse once again starts with the communities it serves, allowing the next generation of creatives to discover it for themselves. The Converse x Kasina Weapon capsule will be available in a limited global release on Converse.com and Kasina stores beginning November 16, 2023.
