Controversial dress turns heads: Yahoo Newsroom reacts

“She became famous overnight. She’s a marketing wizard.” “Do not have a problem with the red, do have a problem with her looking almost naked.” If you didn’t know actress Blanca Blanco before Sunday, you probably do now. In a sea of A-list stars at the Golden Globes, many wearing black in support of the Me Too movement, Blanco stole the spotlight. She wore a red dress — and not just any red dress. A very revealing red dress. Blanco’s color choice brought backlash from Me Too supporters, but some Yahoo Newsroom readers had her back. One reader writes, “What is this high school? She can wear whatever she wants.” Another adds: “I didn’t know who she was yesterday. I do now. Well played Blanca Blanco.” Blanco defended her bold choice telling Fox News, “I love red. Wearing red does not mean I am against the movement. I applaud and stand by the courageous actresses that continue to break the cycle of abuse through their actions and fashion style choices.” What do you think? Should Blanco have worn black?
