According to the Postpartum Support Center, the Walk For Moms aims to prevent postpartum depression, provide essential baby supplies to local mothers and children in need and spark conversations to shatter the stigma of mental health.

The founder and Executive Director of the PostPartum Support Center Ivana Jagodic said, “Perinatal mental health conditions are the leading cause of U.S. maternal mortality, and although this medical condition is treatable, the vast majority of women suffering never get help. We find ourselves at a pivotal moment where your support can enact tangible change.”

The walk will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 at Lagoon Park in the Civic Center in San Rafael. For registration, visit the Postpartum Support Center’s website.
