Flag Day Performance and Presentation

'A Seal's Journey'

Bird Banding Demonstration

Weather permitting, find the bird banders just beyond the porch of the Coastal Ecology Center or under the large copper beech tree on campus ready to share their avian research with you. Mindful Experience

WELLS, Maine — On Tuesday, June 18, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., slow down and open yourself to the sights, sounds, and scents surrounding you on the Wells Reserve’s Laudholm campus. Kayaking on the Little River Estuary

WELLS, Maine — On Friday, June 21, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. come explore where the river meets the sea—by kayak. Minimum age is 12, and 12-15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. ‘Downeast Fiddle Festival’ Part 2

WEST KENNEBUNK, Maine — The second of a pair of shows featuring fiddlers from Downeast Maine and the Maritimes will close out the spring season of the “Concerts in West K!” series. Part 2 of the festival will take place Friday, June 21, at 7:30 p.m., at the West Kennebunk Methodist Church, 160 Alfred Road, West Kennebunk.  There is open seating for the concert on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is by $20 per person donation at the door.

Timber Footbridge Building Workday

YORK, Maine — On Saturday, June 22, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Highland Farm Preserve, 321 Cider Hill Road, York. Join York Land Trust Stewardship Staff for a building workday to keep our most visited preserve accessible to visitors. Sunday Kayaking on the Little River Estuary

WELLS, Maine — On Sunday, June 23, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. come explore where the river meets the sea—by kayak. Paddle the quiet waters of the Reserve’s estuary while watching for wildlife and learning about this treasured habitat. This is a relaxing paddling experience appropriate for all levels of kayaking ability. Minimum age is 12, and 12-15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Dwellers of the Wells Reserve

WELLS, Maine — On Tuesday, June 25, 10 a.m.  to 3 p.m. facilitated by artist Eric Gold, Dwellers of the Wells Reserve is a community-created, large-scale portrait project showcasing animals found at the Wells Reserve. People of all ages and abilities are invited to paint a small segment of the portrait. We will sit together in groups to make art in community while discussing themes of habitat conservation and the animals we are painting. Participation in the project takes an hour or less. Available painting sessions are at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. Minimum age is five, accompanied by an adult.
