Columbus to get sushi conveyor belt soon in Polaris

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is soon to bring a fun unique dining experience to the Columbus area.

The international chain will be located at 8833 Lyra Dr. in Polaris, according to its website, its first Ohio location, which is set to open early next year, according to a public relations manager.

The revolving sushi chain will present customers with a constantly moving conveyor belt of various dishes, allowing them to pick and choose their preferred sushi dishes as they, please. Customers will also still be able to order directly from the menu on the restaurant's Express Belt, including soups, udon, ramen, sides like dumplings, crispy squid, crab and shrimp tempura, edamame, sashimi and more.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar began in Japan in 1977 before expanding to the US in 2008 and currently operates over 500 locations in Japan, Taiwan and the United States.

Another first for Columbus, Twin Peaks, is set to open in Polaris next month.
