Cole Sprouse Trolled the FaceTune App on Instagram and Lili Reinhart Is "So Proud"
Well, Cole Sprouse has a lot of feelings about the FaceTune app. The Riverdale actor and accomplished photographer spent some time this week playing with the popular editing app, which is often used by Instagrammers to tweak their photos, and poked fun at the app itself.
If you’re looking for Cole’s manipulated pics on his Instagram, you’ll be disappointed; he’s since deleted them. But a fan account, Cole Sprouse Updates, did their heroic duty and saved everything on Instagram. In the gallery, we can see manipulated images of Cole and his twin brother Dylan, and even the celeb as a baby — this time with an enormous jaw. Cole used FaceTune to majorly accentuate his features; if you scroll through, you see him with huge eyes, a smushed face or a pinched nose, and in one pic, he poses shirtless in the mirror showing off a teeny, tiny waist.
"I’m honestly tired of people saying I ‘edit’ my photos," Cole wrote of his artwork in a very tongue-in-cheek caption. "Like. Sure, everybody edits their photos a little bit, this is Instagram we’re talking about. But to suggest I’m changing the shape of my face or my eye color is silly and quite frankly damaging to my brand. Who even has time for that? To prove you guys wrong I’ve decided to include some pictures of myself near my friends and my family (shoutout to the wizard David Blaine, you were my childhood), if you work hard, eat right, and brush your teeth, you can glow like me to [sic.] I even looked like this as a baby so back off! Don’t hate on someone else just because your [sic] jealous. Also follow my tiktok if you want to see just how ‘fake’ I am smh."
Cole’s Riverdale castmates, including Lili Reinhart, were more than amused by his trolling. “So proud of you!!” she wrote, while Cole’s onscreen father Skeet Ulrich commented, “I love your honesty.”
Cole’s no stranger to a little trolling, and the internet is one of his favorite places to do so. His brother Dylan is often his main target, and the brothers’ Twitter roasts of one another have become legendary. He and Skeet even trolled Lili, proving that the cast who pokes fun at one another, stays together.
