What Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart’s ‘Up and Down’ Relationship Is Like on Set, Post-Split
Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are back to work on Riverdale post-breakup, where they still play each other's love interest on the show. And according to E!, that forced interaction has its source convinced that the two will totally get back together eventually.
Apparently Sprouse broke up with Reinhart earlier this summer. "Their relationship has always been up and down," the source said. "They split this time after an argument while on their break from filming. Cole decided to end the relationship."
The source described Reinhart and Sprouse's reconciliation as "inevitable. Now that filming is happening again, it is very likely they will mend the relationship and get back together. They spend A LOT of time together on set. They have a lot of chemistry and it's hard for them to deny that they truly care about each other." They haven't gotten back together yet, but they're generally doing better and "are talking about the future," the source said.
The cast is rooting for them to reconcile, the source added, but should they stay apart given their issues, things will be fine between them and everyone else. "No matter what the outcome is, they will all still be friends," the source said.
Reinhart and Sprouse have not commented on the split rumors. People reported earlier this week that those close to them aren't surprised their relationship didn't work out. “Their friends didn’t really expect them to last in the long-run,” a source told People. “At the end of the day, their personalities are very different and their lifestyles often clashed. Things have felt super heavy in the relationship for a while, and it got to be too much. They’re both very professional though and trying to be as amicable and friendly as possible."
