Intermix has launched a new franchise that corrals leaders from disparate industries to discuss a singular topic every week. Titled In Conversation with Women, the editorial series will be hosted on the fashion retailer’s website with the goal of providing different viewpoints and resources to its audience.

“Women often lean on one another for support, advice, inspiration, a helping hand, or even just to have a laugh,” Jyothi Rao, president of Intermix, tells BAZAAR.com. “At Intermix, we are fortunate to meet so many incredible women, and we wanted to amplify their stories to inspire our community to feel empowered on their own personal journeys.”

For the inaugural installment, Intermix has enlisted poet and activist Cleo Wade, ballerina Courtney Lavine, Mrs. Dow Jones’s Haley Sacks, and photographer Bridget Fleming to explain what confidence means to them and how they emit that emotion in their respective industries. Additionally, Intermix will be making a donation to the Lower Eastside Girls Club as part of the franchise.

“We launched In Conversation with Women with a focus on confidence, because we feel at this moment in time, it’s perhaps what we all need the most—confidence in our future and in ourselves,” says Rao. “It is particularly important to cultivate confidence in women—confidence in the image of our bodies, confidence in managing our finances, confidence in speaking up for what we believe in and what we deserve, and so much more.”

In October, the franchise will be dedicated to voting rights, and will highlight Geena Rocero, a Filipino American supermodel, TED speaker, and transgender advocate, along with others.
