Clemson's Ray-Ray McCloud eviscerates NC State punt coverage on TD return

Wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud for Clemson isn’t the best-known receiver in college football, but he’s one of the best returners in college football.

With No. 4 Clemson on the road at No. 20 NC State — and trailing 7-0 — McCloud set up for a punt return to try to give the Tigers a strong field position.

He wound up weaving through NC State’s entire punt team for a 77-yard touchdown with enough jukes to make his teammates blush.

By the most conservative of estimates, McCloud avoids six tackles on this run. Twice on the return McCloud uses a cutback so vicious it causes Wolfpack players to collide with each other.

This is just plain rude. And we fully support it.

If Saturday’s action is any indication, Clemson needs to find a way to get Ray-Ray McCloud in open space a lot more often. (AP Photo)
