Claire Foy’s New Haircut Is Bloody Brilliant (and a Bit Unexpected)

Claire Foy and Queen Elizabeth no longer share the same haircut, thanks to the actress’s latest chop.

Foy trimmed her royal curls into a neat pixie cut and debuted the look at the world premiere for season two of the Netflix hit series The Crown. It’s suspected that the hair change is in preparation for Foy’s role as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl in the Spider’s Web, the fourth installment in Stieg Larsson’s Millennium series.

Watching Foy go from playing the regal Lilibeth to rebellious Lisbeth is pretty jarring, but we do have until October 2018 (when the movie hits theaters) to prepare ourselves. Until then, we look forward to seeing how Foy’s already incredible red-carpet style will adjust to her edgy new haircut.

The Crown season two premieres on December 8 on Netflix.
