No matter how many weird mnemonic tools you learn on TikTok, remembering people's names can be hard. That's especially true in group settings and even more so if the group includes 12 people and could expand at any moment.
That's the situation that Claim to Fame winner and brother to Nick Cannon, Gabriel Cannon finds himself in. Actor, musician and host Nick Cannon famously has a dozen children, and in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gabriel confirmed that he does not remember all of their names.
When asked if he'd met his 12 nieces and nephews or knew their names, Gabriel shaded his brother saying, "I haven't met them, but did y'all see what happened with him? He messed up [naming] all his kids, so I'm not even gonna attempt. I'm just uncle. It's easy." This is of course referring to a recent interview on The Howard Stern Show in which Nick forgot his daughter Onyx while trying to list all 12 of his kids.
When the interviewer asked Gabriel, "Do you have a note in your phone to remind yourself just in case?" he responded with "That or Google. They're all on the internet." Indeed they are Gabriel. In fact, here's a list of all 12 just for reference:
Moroccan Scott Cannon
Goden Sagon Cannon
Powerful Queen Cannon
Zion Mixolydian Cannon
Zillion Heir Cannon
Zen S. Canon
Legendary Love Cannon
Onyx Ice Cole Cannon
Rise Messiah Cannon
Halo Marie Cannon
That's a lot of names and a lot of faces. Let's hope Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway are hovering at the next Cannon family reunion to remind us who is Zion and who is Zillion. Luckily, Gabriel now is the proud owner of $100,000 so he can buy (and study) some face/name flash cards before he hangs out with Nick again.
