From Town & Country

  • Cindy Crawford, 53, posted a new no-makeup selfie on Instagram.

  • The supermodel is glowing and looks relaxed at the beach in Malibu.

  • Crawford, who has her own skincare line, takes great care of her skin, though she admits that women feel pressured to age well.

It’s no secret that supermodel Cindy Crawford puts time and effort into maintaining healthy, radiant skin. From exfoliating treatments and dry-brushing to strict sunscreen use and retinol serums, Crawford has her skincare routine down-and it shows.

On Monday, the 53-year-old posted a bare-faced selfie on Instagram-and she's simply glowing. The sun is shining and the star looks relaxed beside the ocean. The caption reads, “Not-so-manic Monday…”

This isn’t the first no-makeup photo the supermodel has posted. She's flaunted her perfect skin in countless makeup-free gym selfies (BTW have you seen her abs?!), and other casual mornings in her Malibu home while sipping on green tea.

Crawford has made it clear that she doesn’t need makeup to feel beautiful, though taking care of her skin is of high priority. “It’s never too early, and never too late, to start taking care of your skin,” Crawford, who also has her own skincare line, Meaningful Beauty, told Byrdie. “I have learned that it’s like working out. You work out once-you don’t really see a big difference. But if you work out regularly for years, you do. I think skin care is the same way. So I’ve made taking care of my skin part of my routine.”

Though she has embraced aging, the star admits that getting older hasn't exactly been easy for her. “There is a lot of pressure on women to, well, not age,” Crawford told Refinery29. “Being a model and having your whole career being based on how you look, I am probably even more sensitive to it-but you can’t keep chasing this impossible thing.”

Amen to that.
