Ciara, the one and only, arrived at this year's ESPYs in an extremely boob-forward dress by Sabina Bilenko Couture. Some may question the wisdom of wearing black velvet in the middle of July while temperatures are at historic highs across the globe, but Ciara can do what she likes. She's Ciara. The column gown has structured shoulders and opens at the front, where her boobs are covered by silver sequined…let's call them petals.

The singer paired her dramatic look with plenty of diamond rings, a smoky eye, and a choppy bob with a severe side part. The dress is doing enough that Ciara could keep the accessories low-key.

Ciara attended the event with her husband, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, who wore Dolce & Gabbana. Because it's the law, she posted the look to Instagram, uploading a video of the look from various angles with Madonna and Sickick's “Frozen” audio. She captioned the vid, “Espy Nights Wit My Boo @DangeRussWilson.”

The comments section appears to have mixed feelings about the look, with one follower writing, “I wanna love this dress but can't. Velvet? In the middle of summer? And the boobs make me feel cockeyed.... but SLAY she did.” Others, meanwhile, were fans of the hair. “The bob is bobbing,” wrote one person. “Love the cut,” commented another.

If you are a fan of Ciara, you're probably aware that she has a new single out, “Jump,” featuring Coast Contra, which is impossible not to dance to. Naturally, it's already making waves on TikTok. While I love the song, I still can't decide how I feel about black velvet for summer.
