Christine Quinn And Chrishell Stause's Relationship Is Uglier Than Ever

From Women's Health

Chrishell Stause says it’s been easy avoiding Christine Quinn since filming for the third and upcoming season of Selling Sunset wrapped. It’s no secret the two haven’t quite gotten along since, well, a few seconds episodes into season one, but these days, Chrishell tells Women’s Health their relationship hasn’t improved much at all. In fact, things might even be more heated now than they were on-screen (but more on that in a bit).

Before getting into where exactly Chrishell and Christine's relationship—or, uh, lackthereof—stands now, it's worth recapping exactly how the reality TV stars' feud began and why, two seasons later, things are still on such shaky ground.

Summer 2018: Chrishell and Davina talked about Mary's engagement.

The first signs of drama crept up in Selling Sunset season one when Mary Fitzgerald got engaged to now-husband, Romain Bonnet. To everyone's surprise, Romain popped the question following a heated discussion about having children. Sure, everyone was happy for Mary, but Chrishell was a bit worried for her (and, TBH, so was Davina and the majority of the cast). But, Chrishell was the one who spoke up about her concerns, and it didn't fair well for her in the end.

Chrishell said marriage is "freaking hard," and since Romain was only 25 years old at the time, she hoped he was ready for everything it takes to sustain a marriage. And, given that Mary was successful at 38 years old, she asked Davina about Romain's financials, saying, "Does Romain pay for his share of stuff?" And when Davina told her that she doesn't think so, Chrishell asked, "So she pays for everything?" Then, they both expressed hope that Mary would get a prenup.

Btw, here's everything you didn't know about Netflix's Selling Sunset:

Summer 2018: Christine comforted Chrishell.

When Davina pinned the entire conversation on Chrishell once Mary confronted them, Christine offered Chrishell advice about owning up to everything she said over drinks. She concluded by saying: "Don't f*ck with me, don't f*ck with Davina, and be careful around Mary."

It was even enough to convince Chrishell that Christine, despite her tough exterior, was actually a "teddy bear on the inside."

Fall 2018: Christine defended Davina.

At the pool party that capped off the first season, Davina and Chrishell hashed it out again. Chrishell thought their conversations should have remained private, but when Davina responded by saying she didn't "like two-faced people," things took a turn. Davina didn't trust that Chrishell was actually being supportive of Mary. When Chrishell called Davina out for name-calling, Christine jumped in.

"You act like you didn't remember what you talked about," Christine told Chrishell. "So, I feel like you don't own up to the things that you say and that's where this is coming from."

As the rest of the cast told Christine to tone it down and go a bit easier on Chrishell, Christine said that she wasn't trying to be mean, but that she's not a kiss-ass and won't be fake before calling Chrishell a liar.

Winter 2019: Christine tried to make amends with Chrishell.

During the Selling Sunset season two premiere when The Oppenheim Group hosted a party at one of their listings, Christine told Chrishell that she doesn't want to just be cordial, she wants to be friends again. Chrishell wasn't having it. "Every time I deal with you, you do something insanely, ridiculously hurtful, like telling all the girls not to like my Instagrams. And you made fun of me on the drink list to hundreds of your guests," she said, referring to "Chrishell's Two-Faced Tonic" that Christine offered at one of her events.

In the end, they didn't get much resolved.

Spring 2019: Chrishell declined Christine's invitation to her engagement party.

Chrishell skipped out on Christine's engagement party, but sent flowers and a note wishing Christine and her now-husband Christian the best.

Winter 2019: Chrishell attended Christine's wedding.

Their relationship seemingly started to improve when the two appeared to be on good enough terms that Chrishell attended Christine’s lavish gothic-winter-wonderland themed wedding last December. Chrishell now tells Women's Health the affair was "visually stunning," but the swans and fog weren’t enough to keep her around.

She ended up leaving the reception early, not because of anything that had gone down between her and Christine, but because of what she was going through with her divorce proceedings. "It wasn’t ideal timing to be at a wedding in December with the timing of what was going on in my personal life," Chrishell explains.

"So, when the topic of conversation took a turn with me in the hot seat," she adds, referring to a conversation her other castmates start having about Chrishell's divorce and her role in it…right in front of her, she collected her things and walked out. "It was just too much for me at the time."

Summer 2020: Chrishell says she still has Christine blocked on Instagram.

Despite the relatively smooth ride at the wedding, Chrishell says an exchange between her and Christine is the reason Christine's still blocked on social media.

"I have her blocked. And it's one of those things where I think that does come across very childish and ridiculous," Chrishell told Cosmo UK. "But I have the screenshots. She knows why she's blocked. I'm sure she hopes that I never show you guys why she's blocked, because it would be embarrassing to her."

In July 2020, Christine confirmed to Metro that Chrishell's had her blocked since season one.

July 2020: Christine says Chrishell and ex-husband, Justin Hartley, were in therapy.

Season three will show Chrishell getting blindsided by her sudden divorce from Justin Hartley. But, according to Christine's interview with Page Six, the split came after the couple, who she said had been dealing with "communication problems for a while," started going to therapy.

July 2020: Chrishell wasn’t having it.

So, she took to Twitter to clear things up. "I just learned Christine is giving press 'information' about my divorce. Let me be VERY clear. She knows absolutely nothing about the situation and is obviously desperate to get attention by doing so," she wrote in one of two tweets.

August 2020: Chrishell and Christine essentially have no relationship.

"Her behavior off camera has hit an [all-time] low as of late," Chrishell tells Women's Health.

But it’s unlikely the actress will address matters with Christine directly any time soon considering they’re not in contact. "Since [Christine] got married she hasn’t been in the office, so it’s been easy to avoid each other in person," Chrishell explains. That includes Chrishell and Mary's recent joint birthday party—Christine didn't make the invite list, according to Chrishell's Instagram of the event.

And ever since The Oppenheim Group’s realtors and brokers started working from home in compliance with shelter-in-place orders, Christine confirms to WH that she and Chrishell haven’t spoken virtually, either. "We don’t communicate at all," she says. "I’ve always been trying to mend our relationship, and she doesn’t really seem to want that, so I will respect that we can coexist."
