Christie Brinkley is opening up about her fitness routine on Instagram. On Tuesday, the model and actress posted a bunch of photos showcasing the leg workout she does on her Total Gym machine.

In the pics, Brinkley reveals that leg presses are her secret to toned muscles at 66. The model shows exactly how to do them, too. She begins at the bottom of the machine, and then exerts her energy to push her body upward and straighten her legs. Leg presses activate the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes to build muscle and increase strength.

Brinkley opened up in the caption about why she's been using the Total Gym machine
to stay in shape for two decades.

"If you're looking for ways to add more exercise to your life, you need to make it fun and accessible or your not going to stick with it! @totalgymdirect does both!" she said. "It's been my choice for over 20 years. 💪🏼Just a few minutes a day of eccentric and concentric moves that strengthen, stretch, and tone...rain or shine!"

In addition to the Total Gym, Brinkley told The Cut that she loves to take spin classes and work with weights. "I would say running is my favorite way to sweat, but I'm not really supposed to do that anymore because of injuries," she said. "Some days the only thing I can get in is a seven-minute run on the Total Gym."

She also looks for ways to stay active throughout the day. "Then while I'm brushing my teeth, I’m doing leg lifts. When I'm drying my hair, I do all kinds of squats," she said.

Brinkley also maintains a healthy diet. She's been a vegetarian for almost her entire life, but she's experimented with different options.

"Over the years I've been a vegan, I've been a macrobiotic, I’ve been a lacto-ovo. The one constant ... was that I haven't eaten any red meat or fowl," she told The Cut. Brinkley added that her family follows a "rainbow diet," which involves eating colorful fruits and veggies. "That's my main concept for making sure my kids get all the nutrients—making sure they get the deep greens, yellows and reds and purples, all of that."
