Christen Harper Busts Out the Blonde Bob and Tracksuit for Violet Beauregarde Costume

Christen Harper’s Halloween costume was the perfect combo of hot, fun, ironic, comfortable and appropriate for a snowy Oct. 31 in Detroit. The three-time SI Swimsuit model, who was photographed by Amanda Pratt in Dominica for the 2023 issue, dressed up as Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, while her fiancé, Jared Goff, dressed up as Willy Wonka.
The 31-year-old Swim Search alumna, who co-won the open casting call in 2021, donned a royal blue velvet tracksuit including low-rise straight leg pants and a matching zip-up hoodie. She busted out the blonde bob, complete with bangs and curled-in ends, and opted for a full-glam moment with, of course, tons of blue glittery color all over the center of her face and bubble gum in her mouth.
The Southern California native lip-synced to dialogue from the film and shared the video with her TikTok followers.
“🫧 🫧 🫧,” she cleverly captioned the post with a series of bubble emojis.
“huh look good with the short blonde hair look,” one fan commented.
“Wait you look exactly like her,” another added.
“SLAY THE DAY,” someone else chimed.
In an Instagram story, Harper admitted that she and the Detroit Lions player made a silly little mistake by dressing up as their respective characters, but from two different versions of the movie.
Harper dressed as AnnaSophia Robb’s Violet, while the NFL quarterback dressed as Willy Wonka, portrayed by Gene Wilder in 1971—rather than Johnny Depp’s character in the 2005 remake. Both movies are based on the classic children’s book by Roald Dahl.
