Chrissy Teigen Shares That She Was Pregnant During Her Breast Implant Removal Surgery
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend confirmed this week that they are expecting their third child. Teigen, who is already mom to Luna (4) and Miles (2), shared on her Twitter that this pregnancy came as a shock to her. In June, Teigen had surgery to remove her breast implants. Remembering this, a fan asked if had to take a pre-surgery pregnancy test and asked if Teigen was pregnant when she had her surgery. "Oh, it's quite a story lol," Teigen responded.
In a thread, she said that she was pregnant during her surgery—but she didn't know.
"I did the routine pregnancy test you do before surgery. It said negative. It was not negative. a few weeks after surgery, I took a test. And for many years now, I've taken pregnancy tests almost every month, praying to see a positive one day. Just wishful thinking. I never had a positive before. so the morning of John's album release, he wakes up at 3am to do good morning america. I woke up with him and was like man, should take my monthly test to be disappointed.......I was not disappointed. But I was scared shitless. Was pretty positive you shouldn't get your boobs out while pregnant? Pretty sure. So we prayed to the boob surgery gods that everything would be okay. Went to every appointment terrified. Even without the surgery, I didn't think I could get pregnant naturally anyway. So the odds just felt...bad. But what they say so often can be true. When you give up on trying, life has a way of surprising you. In summary, my boobs hurt. Also, you guys have seen how rough these past few months were for me here. So now you know why I just extra appreciated all the love and support through it all, especially since you didn't even know. You just thought I was in stressful internet hell."

In the past, Teigen has been open about how both Luna and Miles were conceived. "Miles was actually made at the same time as Luna," she told People in 2018. They were sharing the same little petri dish together. It's crazy." She also added that she and her husband were open to growing their family: "John wants however many kids I want. That’s the good thing with John—he is down for it."
