Chrissy Teigen appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Tuesday, where she revealed her ‘worst’ celebrity encounter. It occurred after a fun night at the Golden Globe Awards. Tiegen was at a reception and mistook a Golden Globe winner for a waiter.

"I was drinking a lot and I saw somebody at the entrance holding a glass of champagne, so I just went up and I took it,” Teigen said. Her husband John Legend quickly informed her that the person she took the champagne from was Michael Keaton, not a waiter.

"I'm so embarrassed by it still, I could die,” Teigen admits. “But I just took it, I drank it, and I left.”

Teigen has been very open about her struggles with alcohol addiction. Just last December she revealed she quit drinking and she has been vocal about how it has increased her quality of life since

JIMMY FALLON: Best celebrity encounter.

CHRISSY TEIGEN: Oh God. Um-- um, God, I think it was after the Golden Globes. Oh no, this might be worse.

KYLIE MAR: Chrissy Teigen appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Tuesday, where she revealed an incredibly embarrassing celebrity encounter that occurred after a fun night at the Golden Globes.

CHRISSY TEIGEN: I was drinking a lot, and I saw somebody at the entrance holding a glass of champagne. So I just went up and I took it, and I said, thank you. And then John goes, that was Michael Keaton. [LAUGHS]

KYLIE MAR: In her defense, Michael Keaton can play any character, including a waiter. Chrissy has been very open about her struggles with alcohol. Just last December, she revealed she quit drinking. And she has been vocal about how it has increased her quality of life. That being said, she is still embarrassed by some of her old drinking stories.

CHRISSY TEIGEN: And I'm so embarrassed by it. I could die.

JIMMY FALLON: Well, at least it's Michael Keaton. He'll be a good sport about it. He'll be funny and be like, what was that all about?

CHRISSY TEIGEN: But I just-- I took it, I drank it, and I left.

JIMMY FALLON: I'll take that answer. I love that story.
