Dancing with the Stars week seven kicked off with a "Villains Night" theme just in time for Halloween. Team Selling It, aka Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko, danced the paso doble to "In The Air Tonight" by VonLichten featuring Jessica Carvo.

Not only were their moves enchanting, but their costumes were spot-on—particularly Stause’s ensemble. The 39-year-old transformed into Maleficent, from Disney's 2014 movie Maleficent. She donned an elegant black and purple gown with a plunging neckline, a set of horns, and a pair of epic gladiator-style heels. Gleb Savchenko complemented Stause’s look with a black and purple suit vest.

Stause's spellbinding costume was just one part of the look, however. Her heavy duty makeup is what really transformed her from the kind-hearted realtor on Selling Sunset to an absolute evil fairy.

The DWTS makeup team coated Stause's complexion with a white face paint to give her the pale finish of the iconic character. To resemble Maleficent's unique cheekbone structure, pieces of plaster were attached to Stause's face (and yes, they definitely hurt to remove!). White makeup was also applied to the parts of Stause's body that were not covered by her dress. To top it all off, Stause wore colored contacts to give her a wicked glare.

Prior to the performance, Stause took to her Instagram Stories and shared that while getting her hair and makeup done, she had to take a work call about a sewer line that came back bad on an inspection (the Oppenheim Group ladies are so dedicated!). "This is how I took the phone call," she said pointing to her fully-painted face. She started to laugh and then reminded herself not to smile, as it could ruin her makeup.

Fortunately, Stause and Savchenko’s paso doble number secured them a spot in next week’s round. This performance comes one week after they stunned the judges with their contemporary routine to "Stars" by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. Stause had dedicated the dance to her late parents, who both died of lung cancer. You can watch that moving performance here.
