Chris Evans Recently Responded to a Drunk DM from Lizzo: ‘No Shame’
It’s no secret that Lizzo has a major crush on Captain America Chris Evans. Not only did she propose to him on Twitter back in 2019, but now she’s resorted to sending him a late-night DM (after having a couple of glasses of wine). Lucky for her, he responded.
Over the weekend, the “Good as Hell” singer revealed in a TikTok video that she drunkenly messaged the 39-year-old actor a few emojis on Instagram. The DM in question consisted of a puff of wind, a sports player and a basketball. “Don't drink and DM, kids.... for legal porpoises this is a joke," she wrote in the caption.
“The reason I'm upset about this one is because I know I'm not gonna be able to marry him, and honestly, it hurts me to the core,” Lizzo lip-synced to audio by Tatayanna Mitchell. “Because damn papa, he a rare breed, no comparing. Like, Chris...” It’s likely he was referencing his NSFW IG post back in 2020 which he accidentally shared on his Story.
However, the following day, the Grammy winner updated fans and shared a new TikTok revealing that Evans had in fact responded to her message. “No shame in a drunk DM,” Evans wrote. “God knows I've done worse on this app lol.”
This isn’t the first time Lizzo has sent a DM to a celebrity crush. In fact, on an old episode of Busy Tonight, she confessed to Busy Philipps that she once DM'd Drake. And as we mentioned, above, after Evans shared a video of a little girl dancing to Lizzo's “Juice,” she tweeted at him, “Wow marry me.” She later screenshotted the Twitter thread and shared it to her Instagram Story with the caption, “Shooters gon shoot.”
