A train driver in Ireland was greeted by a surprise proposal from her boyfriend as she pulled into Dublin’s Pearse Station on December 15.
Footage tweeted by Irish Rail shows Conor O’Sullivan waiting at the station with a ring, champagne, and flowers as his partner Paula Carbo Zea, an Irish Rail driver, pulled up to the platform.
O’Sullivan also had a sign that read “Will you marry me?” and arranged for James Blunt’s You Make Me Better to play over the loudspeaker system as he popped the question – to which Carbo Zea happily said “yes”.
“I was expecting something maybe for Christmas, but definitely not like that. I was so surprised,” Carbo Zea told the Irish Times. Credit: Irish Rail via Storyful
