Joanna Gaines has had a busy week. After making an appearance at High Point Market in North Carolina—and, yes, high-tailing it to Houston to attend Taylor Swift's Eras Tour—the Magnolia powerhouse joined husband Chip for a special date night in Washington, D.C. Last night, the Fixer Upper star posted a few images from the evening's state dinner, which celebrated the 70-year alliance between the United States and South Korea.

"Coming off the heels of our incredible trip to Seoul, this evening was another reminder of just how proud I am to be a Korean American," Joanna wrote, adding that her mom is from South Korea.

Jo's post featured plenty of Kodak moments she snapped throughout the night: a selfie of the dynamic duo, the gorgeous cherry blossom centerpieces, and a glam shot of the couple dressed to the nines. (She kept it simple with a black strapless dress, while he sported a three-piece suit.)

With more than 4,200 comments on Instagram, it's safe to say that Fixer Upper fans have *a lot* of thoughts about the pair's night on the town. While there are droves of politically charged comments—yes, droves—most commenters couldn't get over how awesome the couple looked. "You are slaying it," one commenter gushed. "Y'all are the PERFECT couple," another wrote. A third fan wrote, "You both look stunning!! And HAPPY!"

Meanwhile, others were itching to get the design duo's thoughts on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. (Honestly, aren't we all?) One curious commenter asked: "Do you look around and think, 'Hmm...that should go there; and this should go here; they should really get rid of that and replace it with this'?"

But perhaps our favorite comment is the simplest one: "Chip Gaines for President??" Now if you'll excuse us, we'll be spending the rest of the day imaging a White House installment of Fixer Upper....
