Finding fame can be overwhelming to almost anyone. Both Chip and Joanna Gaines can attest to this struggle, a subject which the two discuss in a teaser for their upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey for her show Super Soul.

In the teaser for the interview airing on March 17th, the Fixer Upper stars discuss why they work hard to do everything with intention.“When we think about the time we have, we have five kids, e have this business," says Jo. "Anything we say yes to, there has to be a meaningful 'why' behind it. It's not just to add to our portfolio or tackle bigger dreams."

Extending her throughs on intention and the importance of considering“why” when making choice she adds, "when we can align with the 'why' and get passionate about it, then that gives us the fuel to get across the finish line. The intention part is the most important."

The two also delve into why they took a one-year hiatus from their show Fixer Upper explaining that they had “lost the steam and lost the purpose."

During their year off, Chip explains that he was able to reflect on how fame was affecting him, in a way that it wasn’t necessarily impacting his wife."Really what happened — and this was the truth for Jo and I — was it was no big deal for her, but for me to become famous, I lost a part of myself that was really… it was sad," he shared. "I would say it took me a year or two while I was still filming to try to grapple with what exactly it was that I was losing”.

Despite the hurdles thrown at them throughout their life of fame they are pushing forward with their vision of growing their brand. The two are set to launch their TV network Magnolia Network this upcoming summer, where fans can watch the first season of Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, along with a host of other interior renovation shows.
