The After series is about to get a little more magical thanks to some of its brand new cast members.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Chance Perdomo will be joining the cast as Landon, a role that was originated by Shane Paul McGhie, according to a press release. In a lengthy Instagram post, McGhie announced that he would not be returning due to filming changes and asked fans to "welcome the actor who replaces me and treat him with the respect and love you've been giving me since the first day I was brought on."
Chance isn't the only new face joining the series. True Blood star Stephen Moyer and Mira Sorvino from Romy and Michele's High School Reunion have also been added to the cast. Stephen will be playing Christian Vance, replacing Charlie Weber in After We Collided. Mira is taking over the role of Carol, originated by Selma Blair.
In addition, Arielle Kebbel and Carter Jenkins will be playing Kimberly and Robert, respectively. Kimberly was originally played by The Vampire Diaries star Candice King. Frances Turner is also joining as Karen, making it the second recasting in this role. Kiana Maderia is playing Nora, a new character that we haven't seen in the series just yet.
There's no word on what caused all these casting changes, but it is likely due to the change of filming locations. While the original two films were shot in Atlanta, Georgia, the last two movies have started production in Bulgaria.
At least the films will be filming back to back, so we'll be seeing this brand new cast for the final two movies.
