Cher Reportedly Splits From Boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards

Cher is on the market again after breaking up with her boyfriend, Alexander "A.E." Edwards.

The singer and actress, 76, was previously dating A.E., 37, for months, with rumors of the two being engaged.

But now, E! News confirmed that they have officially split. A source told the publication that they broke up a couple of weeks ago, but it was amicable.

Cher and A.E. first started dating last November. Before that, A.E. was with Amber Rose, and the two share a son named Slash who was born in 2019.

Cher faced criticism for the relationship due to the big age difference, reports that A.E. cheated on Rose, and more.

The "Believe" singer responded to the backlash at the start of 2023 by sharing a photo of the couple together and writing, "This should Send you Haters to The Part in Wizzard [sic] of OZ...WHEN DOROTHY THREW WATER ON THE wicked Witch & Melted her."

Over the past few months, Cher and A.E. were spotted at various events together, looking very in love. At the beginning of March, the couple attended the Versace FW23 Show, sharing some PDA on the carpet.

Cher even hinted at herself and A.E., a music executive, working together on music. She told E! News, "Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I'm pretty excited about that. He's a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I'm happy about that."

She added, "I think like any artist, when you've got something good, you're excited."

Unfortunately, if the reports of their split are true, the couple probably won't be collaborating on music anymore.

Cher's most recent release was her 26th studio album Dancing Queen in 2018. That same year, she appeared in the Mamma Mia! sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, and sang on the soundtrack.
